I’ve gone mad!

I know all of you think I have already lost my mind, however, today I really did!  I agreed to get another house dog after promising myself that I never would again.  My kids just won’t let the subject die.

Courtney continually talks about getting one and Chan is saving his money for a dog that is small that he can hold and love on and that can live in the house (the retrievers are too big for that and they just knock him down).  He really felt that Santa got the wrong house when he gave Gail and Larry their new dog and not him.  We kept telling him that he just couldn’t have another dog, since we have four as it  is.  One day he said, “It’s too late, I’ve already ask Santa for one.” His letter was published in the Leslie Co. News.  It was very sweet about how he would feed his dog and call it Ruffy.   We told him Santa was out of dogs.  Therefore,  he thought Uncle Larry got the dog that he was suppose to get and he thought Santa made a mistake.

Tomorrow we go get our new baby from a breeder in Jackson Co.  She will meet us in Manchester.  He is a beautiful miniature schnauzer, who looks nothing like Dee, thankfully.  He will be inside, but can do well outside also.

I made a deal with Courtney–It will be her birthday present, but she can’t tell Chan.  She has to pretend to share it with him.  She agreed.  Whew!  I just couldn’t deal with 2 housedogs.

I sure hope this doesn’t just finish me off! lol

Yes, you have. Definitely gone mad! :P But I love you anyway! And I love your sporadic blogs – but I’d love them more frequently too. :)

Piper is really, really sweet. And you and Rick both have a soft-spot in your hearts for dogs. You would have the “ten” Mom said you had (instead of just five)if you had gotten all the ones you have fallen in love with over the last year – lol. I wish I had know his letter was published in the LC news. I would have saved it. I am so happy you blogged! I love you so much – - even if you are a little crazy sometimes- lol TTMAB!

Yes, you have lost your mind! Oh! I do that from time to time myself. After our yorkie got killed I decided to buy a westie, they are so cute and I had been in love with that idea for years. I drove all the way to western ky and bought one for $600. That wasn’t good enough so I traveled to Bardstown for a male that was $500. I was going to breed them and make a killing, right!huh! Let me tell you now, BAD IDEA!That was in 2004 and just let me say now there’s not a westie on the place. I have 7 acres on top of a mountain a good quarter mile off the road and I couldn’t keep them off the road.Next, I bought a sweet pooshoo at the London flea market for $200 and he never went to the road, not once, untill Mandy and Jeff walked down to the store and he followed than the day after Christmas and got an over. I vowed I would never have another dog! I didn’t want anything else that had to be fed or trained or pooped or peed! For about 2 months that lasted! I have the promise for a full stock baset hound for outside sometime this summer, for free! I am hoping he will be to go to the road, I have 5 cats, all outside. $ males and one female. Anybody want cat! Anyway your new dog is so cute! And I agree, thank goodness he don’t look like Dee. That dog is deformed! Love you, ttyl.
